No trains through Wye for the next five days
Southeastern will not run any trains across the region on Christmas Day, or Boxing Day. However, planned engineering work at Ashford station, starting Friday 27th December through to Sunday 29th December, will continue to affect the Ashford to Canterbury line. Flood risk: Environment Agency advises residents to remain vigilant and ‘be prepared’
The river level near Wye Bridge peaked on Sunday at 1.26m above the weir. Although the level remains high, after a couple of days without significant rain the river level is falling at Wye, and elsewhere across the catchment area of the Great Stour. Dr Nick DiBasio retires today
After 22 years at Wye Surgery Practice Partner Nick DiBasio retires Tuesday 17th December. Wye Surgery wishes Dr DiBiasio a very healthy and happy retirement. Olantigh Road will be closed Monday 16th December
Olantigh road will close during school hours 09.30 - 15.30 Monday 16th December to give BT engineers safe access to overhead phone cables. Network Rail will close the line between Ashford International and Canterbury West on Sunday 15th December, for further engineering works.

Burst water main - Naccolt Road is closed
Southeast Water has closed Naccolt Road near the former brickworks for emergency repair work on a burst 3" water main. Diversion signs are in place. The road closure notice runs from Wednesday 4th December to the Friday 6th December.
