Dr Nick DiBasio retires today
After 22 years at Wye Surgery Practice Partner Nick DiBasio retires Tuesday 17th December. Wye Surgery wishes Dr DiBiasio a very healthy and happy retirement. 'After more than two decades at Wye Surgery, we're very sorry to see him go - but hope he'll make a comeback doing some locum sessions for us in the near future.'

Olantigh Road will be closed Monday 16th December
Olantigh road will close during school hours 09.30 - 15.30 Monday 16th December to give BT engineers safe access to overhead phone cables. The works are scheduled in the area of Trimworth Manor and Ripple Farm, Sole Street, Crundale KCC should sign diversions via Upper Bridge Street , Bridge Street, Wye level crossing, Bramble Lane, A28 Ashford Road and The Street, Godmersham.

No Trains though Wye on Sunday 15th December
Network Rail will close the line between Ashford International and Canterbury West on Sunday 15th December, for further engineering works.
This will affect Southeastern High Speed services (HS1) between London St Pancras and Margate and Ramsgate and also between London Victoria / London Charing Cross and Ramsgate and Canterbury West and Dover Priory. There will be no High Speed services between London... Read More »

Wye Christmas Tree Festival opened today
Thirty village groups and societies, individuals and families, schools, businesses, voluntary groups and the Parish Council have decorated thirty Christmas trees. Burst water main - Naccolt Road is closed
Southeast Water has closed Naccolt Road near the former brickworks for emergency repair work on a burst 3" water main. Diversion signs are in place. The road closure notice runs from Wednesday 4th December to the Friday 6th December. Network Rail will be undertaking engineering work on the line between Ashford International and Ramsgate on Sunday 1st December.

Resilience in action! Wye Co-op reopens only 24 hours after ram raiders destroyed the shopfront
Co-op staff and a team of shopfitters worked hard overnight to clear the wreckage and build a temporary shopfront. The staff were determined to get back to normal as soon as possible and their efforts have enabled the village store to reopen first thing on Saturday morning.
