Guilty verdict for murder of PCSO Julia James
At Canterbury Crown Court today a jury found Callum Wheeler guilty of the murder of Police Community Support Officer Julia James. The crime took place in Aylesham in 27th April 2021. Hinxhill Road to close for 60 days from Monday 16th May
KCC Highways has issued another temporary road closure order for Hinxhill Road for works near the ambulance entrance at the rear of the William Harvey Hospital. The Five Church Walk is back, Monday 2nd May
Deep in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty walkers are striding out today and enjoying the spring. This year the 16-mile walk is anti-clockwise, and as usual the route takes in the parish churches of Godmersham, Chilham, Molash, Challock and All Saints, Boughton Aluph. M20 Operation Brock extended to 20 miles from J8 to J11
Operation Brock is now Operation Zero: a 20-mile section of the M20 is closed coastbound between J8 (Maidstone), and extended to J11 (Westenhanger) to hold HGVs bound for Dover or Eurotunnel. Olantigh Road will close from Monday 4th April
UK Power Networks will trench across a short section in the vicinity of the former Leppers Ironmongers. This will close Olantigh Road to through traffic for the whole of next week.
