Wye High Street, Urgent Repairs Completed

KCC issued a temporary road closure notice for urgent carriageway repair works to the failed main drain inspection cover, located outside the former Wye College Porters Lodge, High Street, Wye.

Works were scheduled and completed overnight Wednesday 31st August / Thursday 1st September. This was timed to avoid disrupting the Canterbury / Ashford bus route No.1. Overnight through traffic to Hastingleigh via Scotton Street, and Canterbury via Olantigh Road, was diverted via Church Street and Upper Bridge Street.
