Wye Library will open for an extra ten hours a week, starting today Monday 30th September.

This welcome news follows a county-wide review of all 99 of Kent's libraries. The review ranked Wye in the third of five tiers, based on its relatively high level of use, alongside libraries in much larger settlements like Tenterden, Cranbrook and New Romney.

Mondays 09.00 to 13.00 and 14.00 to 17.00 (**seven extra hours**)

Tuesdays 09.00 to 13.00

Wednesdays closed

Thursdays 10.00 to 13.00 (**three extra hours**) 14.00 to 17.00

Fridays 09.00 to 13.00 and 14.00 to 17.00

Saturdays 09.00 to 13.00

Sundays closed

Wye Library also offers regular weekly events including Storytime on Tuesdays 10.00 to 10.30 (during term time), Talk Time on Fridays 10.30 to 11.30 and an IT support can be available on Tuesday mornings (please check with librarian).

Hi Kent is a specialist charity which runs free aftercare clinics for NHS hearing aids in Wye Library and in other locations across Kent. The next Wye event being Tuesday 15th October 09.30 - 11.30. Hi-Kent clinics are free of charge and open on a drop-in basis so there is no need to make an appointment.

For details about Hi Kent hearing aid clinics and various occasional events, and information about the many other library services please ask the duty librarian at Wye 01233 812 699. Wye Library also holds reference copies of Wye Parish Council minutes, and Wye Neighbourhood Plan 2030 documents for residents who do not have internet access.
