Wye Parish Council is recruiting a Deputy Clerk

The Parish Council needs a part-time Deputy Clerk to provide support to the Parish Clerk across a wide range of tasks and take on new projects. Wye with Hinxhill is a busy parish and the position requires an individual with strong organisational and inter-personal skills, along with prior experience of working in an office environment and of minute taking. Flexibility towards working hours is essential as there is a requirement to attend some evening meetings. A knowledge of local government work would be useful, but it is not essential as full training will be given. This is a part-time post for 10 hours per week. Pay will be according to the National Joint Council (NJC) pay scale (LC1) on a Spinal Column Point between (SCP 19) £19,945 and (SCP 29) £26,999 (pro rata,dependent on qualifications and experience).
