Working for Wye - past, present and future

Disruption affects Wye and three rail lines into Ashford

A screenshot of train services at Wye Station Sunday 8th March 2020. This shows that 5 services are cancelled and only 4 are running

Following a day of heavy rain on Thursday two landslips near #Bearsted on Friday afternoon closed the Maidstone East to Ashford line. Consequently, train services to and from Wye are still disrupted. Network Rail reports that track clearance and repair work at Bearsted is 'currently running ahead of schedule' and expects trains to be running on the Maidstone East line from Monday morning.' Charing Cross services are running normally to Ashford and beyond, but a shuttle train service is running all day today between Victoria and Maidstone East, with replacement buses running between Maidstone East and Ashford. Southeastern is also operating a limited shuttle train service between Ashford and Canterbury West. HS1 trains are helping by making extra stops today at Wye, Chilham and Chartham.

Southern Rail has cancelled all services between Hastings and Ashford this evening, following a separate 'operational incident' at #Ore Southern reported that it is working with bus operators to organise 'a number of buses' to run between Hastings and Ashford. Network Rail expects this disruption to last until the end of the day.
