Don't miss all the fun! Boughton Lees 'Scarecrow Safari' today

One of the winning entries in the Boughton Lees Scarecrow Safari 11th 12th July 2020

At last, there is something to put a smile on people's faces! The Boughton Lees Scarecrow Safari Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July.

Congratulations to all who entered scarecrows in the Boughton Lees Scarecrow Safari, and to the winners!

  • Under 12: Thea Constance;
  • Over 12: Little Billing;
  • Local business: Perry Court Farm;
  • School, Club, Society: Challock Primary School.

If you are quick, there are 40 amazing socially distanced scarecrows to see spread around The Green, Pilgrims Way and Wye Road. These scarecrows are delightfully imaginative and amusing creations, and Challock School's entry are wearing school uniforms to show that even social distancing can be fun! Please walk around and admire all the different scarecrows, and then vote for your favourite. The theme is 'reduce, reuse, recycle'. This one-off event is raising money for the upkeep of the Iron Room and The Green. This is important as the organisers had to cancel the annual Boughton Lees Pleasure Fayre this year because of Covid-19. You can make a donation to this cause via Paypal here
