Working for Wye - past, present and future

The weather is set fair for a sunny Saturday and the Wye Farmers' Market will open on The Green at 09.00. Now in its 22nd year of operation the Wye Farmers' Market is subject to Government rules for the management of open markets. The one way entry system and other measures are in place to enable shoppers and stall holders to maintain good social distancing and minimise the risk of COVID-19 infection. Although it will be good to see more people shopping around the village, the Parish Council regrets that the public toilets continue to be closed because of recent vandalism, and cannot open for the Farmers Market tomorrow. The Council is working to open the toilets as soon as COVID-19 compliant measures, and the necessary repairs, are in place. Meanwhile thankfully the pubs and the coffee shop are now open and no doubt will be glad of your custom. The children's play area at the Village Hall will be open from tomorrow morning at 09.00.
