Play Area closed for essential repairs

The childrens' play area at Wye Recreation Ground is closed for repairs today. This follows a recent incident of criminal damage which left the crawling tunnel between the play houses in a dangerous condition. Children's safety is always the first priority so boarding off the tunnel as a temporary measure prevented access, but enabled children to continue to use the rest of the play equipment while the weather was fine. Fortunately the spare parts have now arrived, along with the rain. The Parish Council reported this incident to the Police.
