Last call for Christmas tree recycling for Pilgrims Hospices

Pilgrims Hospices Christmas tree recycling poster

Twelfth Night is approaching fast, and 6th January is also the registration deadline for the real Christmas tree recycling doorstep collection. For Wye and the rest of the Ashford district please register online by midnight 6th January 2022. Volunteers will only collect pre-registered Christmas trees from doorsteps between 15th to 18th January. These trees will be chipped or composted and then reused, mainly as a soil conditioner. In return for this free service and the volunteer labour, vehicles and fuel, please make a donation to support the Pilgrims Hospices. This east Kent charity is very much still here and still caring for people facing an incurable illness.

The Pilgrims Hospices' Tree Recycling initiative has raised over £125,000 for over the past ten years. This year Pilgrims Hospices has expanded this successful scheme to cover the Canterbury and Thanet districts, but bookings have now closed for these new areas.
