Working for Wye - past, present and future

Blackwall Road closed for up to 21 days

Blackwall Road, Wye with surface water flooding and potholes

KCC Highways has closed part of Blackwall Road for up to twenty-one days. This is necessary because of the extensive surface water flooding in the area, and multiple potholes in the carriageway. KCC has closed the first three quarters of a mile of Blackwall Road from its junction with Blackwall Road North and South in Willesborough, as far north as Bromley Cottage. KCC recommends a three-mile alternative route via the A2070 Kennington Road, The Street, Hinxhill Road and Naccolt Road. The image shows a deep pothole and scouring of the carriageway near Goose Green Farm.
