Wye's next household refuse and food waste collection (grey bins or black sacks) is scheduled for Thursday 30th December. Recycling is due for collection on Thursday the 6th January. Fuel shortage - Wye adapts to keep on top of street litter
The fuel shortage is reaching into areas that most people never need to consider. The good news is that the Biffa household recycling and kitchen waste collection went ahead today as normal in Wye. However, the Biffa cage truck that would normally have emptied all the litter bins early this morning, stayed in the yard for lack of fuel. Christmas treecycling scheme raised over £17,000 in 2017 for Pilgrims' Hospices
This year charity volunteers will collect Christmas trees for a donation on the weekend of 13th and 14th January 2018. The Pilgrims' Hospices tree collection service and fundraising event is only available in the Ashford Borough Council area. Online registration will close at midnight on Sunday 7th January.
