Ashford to Canterbury line to close for four days

Rail bridge over the River Stour at Chartham is about to be replaced in May 2021. A replacement will be build

Network Rail is preparing to replace its bridge over the River Stour at Chartham. The main heavy engineering work is scheduled over the bank holiday weekend to minimise disruption. Consequently, no trains will run between Ashford International and Canterbury West for four days. Wye Station ticket office is closed until further notice
