Rail bridge over the River Stour at Chartham is about to be replaced in May 2021. A replacement will be build

Network Rail is preparing to replace its bridge over the River Stour at Chartham. The main heavy engineering work is scheduled over the bank holiday weekend to minimise disruption. Disruption affects Wye and three rail lines into Ashford

Following a day of heavy rain on Thursday two landslips near #Bearsted on Friday afternoon closed the Maidstone East to Ashford line. Consequently, train services to and from Wye are still disrupted. Southeastern will not run any trains across the region on Christmas Day, or Boxing Day.
