The Five Church Walk is back, Monday 2nd May

A winding footpath through coppiced bluebell woods and dappled sunlight

Deep in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty walkers are striding out today and enjoying the spring. This year the 16-mile walk is anti-clockwise, and as usual the route takes in the parish churches of Godmersham, Chilham, Molash, Challock and All Saints, Boughton Aluph. Part of the signed route passes through Kings Wood, and the bluebells are at their best about now.

World record attempt to set off from Wye

David Charles of Thighs of Steel launches the final leg of the World Record attempt outside the Tickled Trout, Wye Saturday 18th September 2021

Intrepid cyclists will gather at the Tickled Trout in Wye on Saturday morning to complete their official Guinness World Record attempt. Christmas treecycling scheme raised over £17,000 in 2017 for Pilgrims' Hospices

This year charity volunteers will collect Christmas trees for a donation on the weekend of 13th and 14th January 2018. The Pilgrims' Hospices tree collection service and fundraising event is only available in the Ashford Borough Council area. Online registration will close at midnight on Sunday 7th January.
