Temporary Overnight Road Closure – High Street, Wye, Ashford – 9 April 2020
An overnight closure of High Street, Wye, Ashford, is planned for Thursday 9 April 2020 from 7.30 pm through until approximately 6.00 am.
High Street will be closed in the general vicinity of number 34, with no through access between the junctions with The Green and Olantigh Road.
The alternative route for traffic is via Upper Bridge Street, Bridge Street and Church Street

Naccolt Road will close again from Monday 2nd March 2020 for about nine weeks.
Kent County Council Highways has made another Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Naccolt Road. This latest road closure is necessary for safety reasons to enable South East Water's contractors to install a new water main in the vicinity of Pottery Cottages, and Herons Brook. High Street Wye closed for repairs
Without warning KCC has issued a temporary road closure notice for a week to enable repairs to a dangerous inspection cover in the High Street Wye, opposite the former Wye College Porters Lodge. The drain cover worked loose again and the tarmac around the fitting was breaking up and sinking, creating a hazard, especially for cyclists. A sunny Friday in Wye
The importance of the Wye Neighbourhood Plan main objective of a 'walkable village' was clear today, as were the constraints of Wye's medieval roads and the ageing infrastructure underneath them. Wye High Street obstructed
Since the start of this term a fleet of Wye School coaches have taken to parking for up to an hour a day on double yellow lines in Wye High Street. This daily obstruction between the church gate and the Latin School is preventing Stagecoach bus services from using the Wye Church bus stop, as the photograph shows.
