Olantigh Road, Wye will close to through traffic again Monday 30th May until Wednesday 1st June. South East Water will lay new utility connections in the vicinity of 10 and 12 Olantigh Road (formerly Leppers Ironmongers). All five roads into Wye subject to disruption

Olantigh Road will close from Monday 4th April
UK Power Networks will trench across a short section in the vicinity of the former Leppers Ironmongers. This will close Olantigh Road to through traffic for the whole of next week. The road closure notice will apply between Monday 4th and Monday 11th April. Olantigh Road to shut for emergency sewer repairs
KCC Highways issued an emergency road closure Notice today to authorise Southern Water to block Olantigh Road to all through traffic, for up to ten days. Southern Water's contractors are not on site now and the road is open, but the permit is valid from 12th August for 21 days (until Wednesday 2nd September). Olantigh Road to shut for five days from Monday 22nd June
KCC Highways plans to close Olantigh Road for up to five days in the narrow section between its junction with Sole Street and Sunley Gardens, Godmersham. KCC's legal permit for this work starts Monday 22nd June and runs until Friday 26th June. This road closure is necessary for kerbing and haunching works, and for carriageway repairs up to 450mm deep. Wye looks different tonight
Engineers are replacing obsolete sodium street lights in Wye with energy efficient Light Emitting Diode (LED) fittings. Typically, the new lights will only burn 12W of electricity, compared to 70W needed to run the orange sodium lights. Wye is one of the first places in Kent to have its street lights replaced as part of KCC's county-wide programme to convert all 118,000 fittings in Kent by May 2019.... Read More »
