Olantigh Road to shut for emergency sewer repairs

Emergency Road Closure Notice for Olantigh Road, Wye, valid from 12th August 2020

KCC Highways issued an emergency road closure Notice today to authorise Southern Water to block Olantigh Road to all through traffic, for up to ten days. Olantigh Road to shut for five days from Monday 22nd June

KCC Highways plans to close Olantigh Road for up to five days in the narrow section between its junction with Sole Street and Sunley Gardens, Godmersham. Wye looks different tonight

Engineers are replacing obsolete sodium street lights in Wye with energy efficient Light Emitting Diode (LED) fittings. Typically, the new lights will only burn 12W of electricity, compared to 70W needed to run the orange sodium lights.
