Hinxhill Road remains closed, and Bockham Lane looks 'like a battlefield’
KCC Highways has extended the closure of Hinxhill Road to 21st February. This is to enable contractors to finish building a new T junction to access the Hinxhill Park housing development. Five high voltage overhead line faults cause power cuts around Wye
Wild weather associated with Storm Ciara is causing widespread damage and disruption to the electricity supply network across the country. Power cuts affected over half a million homes on Sunday. No trains through Wye for the next five days
Southeastern will not run any trains across the region on Christmas Day, or Boxing Day. However, planned engineering work at Ashford station, starting Friday 27th December through to Sunday 29th December, will continue to affect the Ashford to Canterbury line. Olantigh road will close during school hours 09.30 - 15.30 Monday 16th December to give BT engineers safe access to overhead phone cables. Network Rail will close the line between Ashford International and Canterbury West on Sunday 15th December, for further engineering works.

Burst water main - Naccolt Road is closed
Southeast Water has closed Naccolt Road near the former brickworks for emergency repair work on a burst 3" water main. Diversion signs are in place. The road closure notice runs from Wednesday 4th December to the Friday 6th December.
