The Met Office issued an Amber Warning for snow and ice from 04.00 Sunday 7th February. Currently, the Met Office forecast for Wye shows the overnight rain turning to snow from around 02.00 onwards. There is an increasing risk that heavy snow and ice will affect east Kent and the coastal parts of East Anglia, with up to a foot of snow looking set to arrive on strong easterly winds gusting up to 40mph.... Draft WYE3 Masterplan opens for consultation

Parish councillors met 29th March at short notice to consider their first impressions of the Draft WYE3 Masterplan, which Ashford Borough Council (ABC) issued earlier in the week.

Wye Parish Church closed until Christmas

Wye Parish Church closed until Christmas

The church is now closed to the public while building works are in progress. Builders are removing all the Victorian pews, which date from 1878 and digging up the tiled floor. Once completed the church will look very different, it will have a Portland stone floor with underfloor heating and movable seats.
