KCC Highways has issued another temporary road closure order for Hinxhill Road for works near the ambulance entrance at the rear of the William Harvey Hospital. There will be no trains through Wye on Sunday 1st March. KCC Highways has extended the closure of Hinxhill Road to 21st February. This is to enable contractors to finish building a new T junction to access the Hinxhill Park housing development. The road closure order for Hinxhill Road, starts Monday 6th January. The Kent County Council Highways (prohibition of driving) order states that 'Hinxhill Road will be closed in the general vicinity of the rear entrance to William Harvey Hospital. Olantigh road will close during school hours 09.30 - 15.30 Monday 16th December to give BT engineers safe access to overhead phone cables. Network Rail plans to restrict traffic flow over Wye level crossing on Monday 9th September and Tuesday 10th September. This is to enable "crossing white line and yellow box painting" and the traffic lights are bound to add to the normal delays. Network Rail identified a broken rail between Chilham and Chartham earlier this morning. This has caused disruption to services between Ashford International and Canterbury West.
